Backstory and Personality

Black Winds Howling was born Jais Eckart, or at least that what his packmates recall his name to be before his First Change, most of which knew him from that time. Black Winds was not always a member of the Bakersfield pack, and though many of his local high school saw their change around the same time, Jais found himself in Okinawa when it happened. How did he get there? That is a matter of mystery itself.

Black Winds was first found by Ride the Lightning (Rahu/Storm Lord) among a pack of wolves with amnesia. He was integrated into the her pack just shortly after their own ritemaster, Joe Two-Rivers (Ithaeur/Blood Talon) took a random moon bridge never to be heard from again. It was revealed that Black Winds was a member of the Bone Shadows, though the circumstances, like his appearance remained a mystery. Never fully returning to state of human existence his Harmony began to grow until one day his skin developed silver traces, those marks which appeared like pale lines in his hishu skin, became spots of white fur in his black wolf forms.

Black Winds, fully dedicated to his pack, offered any assistance he could may it be martial or spiritual and became a great asset for the years to follow leading by an example of harmony and balance, until the pack was divided by a spiritual storm that left him stranded in Bakersfield.

It was in March of 2009 that he came to realize that he had returned to a place that felt like home. He was quickly greeted by a new pack, friends and strangers, all in the same. Rising Tempest (Rahu/Storm Lord), the new Alpha was most pleased to see her old high school friend, but to Black Winds it was just a familiar face.

Currently Black Winds Howling serves as the Bakersfield’s Pack Ritemaster, continuing the job he held in Okinawa, but he does so now out of habit, not know where he might end up next, nor the true secrets behind his past.

• Wisdom Two: Listening and recalling the stories of Kamduis-Ur and her eternal search for knowledge and her time with Father Wolf during the days of Pangaea.

• Wisdom Four: Spending a year learning the ways of the wild as a wolf, denying the trappings of humans, but still being amoung them.
