Introduction
Welcome, to Des Moines, the city of mystery and wonder. Beware, as multiple supernaturals inhabit the city. For those of the forsaken, the clutch would be your best bet of first stopping by. One of the only neutral territories here in Des Moines that would benefit you greatly. The clutch's current alpha is Gregory Chamber. Come venture into the Domain, but beware, the moon tales no tale, only the howl that can be heard has meaning

History
- The Forsaken
The first records of Uratha packs in Des Moines was a pack known as the Pack of Luna's Vengeance that arrived sometime around 1896 and settled into the Saylorville Lake area. They took care of the area for the next fifty years, integrating new members into the pack when needed to replace fallen comrades. The time from 1900 to 1970 was interspersed with small activity, such as the occasional shift in the Spirit Courts and the Forsaken packs were harassed occasionally by Balehounds, Pure, Magath, other Forsaken, other Supernaturals, Mortals on the hunt and anything in between. After the earthquake of 1965, with the city in turmoil, the Forsaken were hit with staggering issues in both the Hisil and the Real world. There was nothing really notable until about 1970 when a large pack of Rahu, called Red Hearts Revenge, entered the area and settled in. They held order in their territory in Des Moines until 1990 when they became belligerent and tried to eliminate the Wolf-blooded and Werewolves in the area, but they were met by a strange Alliance of Packs (Pure, Balehound, and Forsaken side by side against these crazed wolves), which left them in wastes and returned to their territories, during this struggle the Pack of Luna's Vengeance finally met its end, the Pack Totem from long ago still wanders, but where specifically is unknown. From 1990 to 2005 No pack held territory within Des Moines City Limits. All known Wolf-blooded fell back into the background, preferring to live their lives as opposed to becoming involved with the world.
- The Pure
The Pure have a tale, a tale that they’ve always been there, in the darkness always lurking, the ancestors they are, and they will always be, for the Spirits adore them…and not the servants of the Betrayer Bitch Queen. The Pure, mostly the Izidakh, claim that they were the first to live in the area known as Des Moines, living within the Wolf-blooded tribes of the Illinois, specifically the Moingwena, and the other neighboring tribes as well. Their story is passed down from generation to generation, and it is why they’ve always been, and why they were originally driven out.
Around 2004 several packs of Pure moved through Des Moines, and took up residence within Des Moines City limits and began to encroach on other cities around Des Moines. During this time there were a series of fatalities on the Pure Pack sides, some blamed Balehounds, but most blamed Forsaken that were hiding. These brutal insurgencies on the Pure eventually drove them out of Des Moines, swearing it off as infested.
The Pure during this time split off into their packs, their numbers too innumerable to count, and took up territories in and around the Des Moines area. The Pure that took up the territory of Saylorville Lake and Browns Woods mysteriously disappeared not too long after they took up their residence, and Saylorville Lake and Browns woods, to this day give off a very unsettling feeling that leaves anyone feeling empty.
- Rumors
There have been rumors and small sparse stories about Bale Hounds and their underhanded tactics of their kind in the area, rumored to live in areas that the Uratha dare not venture.
Although rarely bothered, there are several smaller packs of Uratha scattered in and around Des Moines, and lone wolves that have the ability to help if sought out.
There are rumors that a Russian Mafia Family, known as the Markova's, are in fact Wolf-blooded or Werewolves. Nothing has been proven, but they have been around for quite some time, and if they were, they'd hold sway over the city, both the Hisil and Real World. There are further rumors of another Werewolf Family owning the most prolific Occult Shop in Des Moines. And there are rumors of other Wolf Blooded or werewolves within the Police, and scattered in other areas.

Spirit
- Butters the Cow - Lesser Jaggling State Fair Spirit
The Baron of the State Faire, this spirit is around long before and after the Iowa State Faire, feeding meagerly off the activities in the State Faire Grounds. His Choir appears two moon cycles prior to the State Fair, and stays around until two moon cycles after, and he ranges in power from a Rank 1 to a Rank 3. Butters is a Yellow Cow of Butter, with liquid butter melting off of it at all times.
- The Judge - Greater Jaggling Law Spirit
The Count of the Choir of Law and purview extends to the lesser Choirs of Medicine, Drugs, Heatlh, Knowledge, Education, Faith, Police, and Justice. He is amiable towards the Werewolves, Cool towards the Mages; these stances can change if provoked or his “laws” broken. The Judge is a very large blackish entity adorned with 17th century Judges robes and wig, white eyes peer out from within the robes and he speaks through a visible mouth. He has innumerable amounts of hands and he has a Judges Hammer which generally has several smaller spirits within it getting punished. He takes adverse glee in slamming his hammer and when he doles out Judgment he is harsh and the Judgments are always to his benefit and the benefit of his laws.
- The Mayor - Lesser Jaggling Deception Spirit
The Baron of the Choir of Deception. No spirit of his choir comes to him unless called, and he will always lie, cheat, and break “rules”. He hates and despises the Forsaken and Mages.
- Father River - Greater Jaggling
The Count of the Choir of Nature. He looks very much like the river most of the time, but when he moves and addresses Supernatural’s he is a large Humanoid Body of water towering over everything, if one was able to discern enough they would notice he looks like a very old Native American.
- Scroll-Wire - Lesser Jaggling Messenger Spirit
The Baron of the Choir of Communication. Subservient to the Choir of Business. He is very pragmatic and yet energetic, he is sympathetic to all werewolves and refuses to pick a side, he will however help anyone who asks him, but the price will be high if its against another werewolf.
- Mainframe - Lesser Jaggling Computer Spirit
The Baron of the Choir of Technology. Subservient to the Choir of Business. Very docile and direct, he is imposing only when he has to and he doesn’t like intruders who come unannounced. He can be easily appeased with new technology and he favors the Uratha over the Pure.
- The Reporter - Lesser Jaggling Media Spirit
The Baron of the Choir of Media. Subservient to the Choir of Business. Very out there and not exactly the nicest of individuals, if there is any spirit that could breach the lies of the city with a well-placed influence, it is the reporter. If he’s crossed, the supernaturals can find themselves hunted very quickly.
- The Money Changer - Greater Jaggling Bank Spirit
The Count of the Choir of Business, Subservient to the City Father. The thing behind the curtains, he cheats, and lies and steals, but he does it in the name of profit. He will never do anything that does not give him more power and he will not bend to the will of anyone other than the City Father. He double-deals constantly.
- Light in the Dark – Lesser Jaggling Faith Spirit
The Baron of the Choir of Faith, Subservient to the Choir of Law. Upholding the concepts of Peace and Harmony, holding true to ones beliefs, and protecting yourself from sin are its primary goals. Favors the Pure over the Forsaken, but is not exclusive to either.
- Drake - Lesser Jaggling Education Spirit
The Baron of the Choir of Knowledge, Subservient to the Choir of Law. Nothing ventured nothing gained, will always gather information and will always be everywhere at once. He and his choir see all and know all and will give it away for the right price, the more valuable the information to the person, the more they must give to gain.
- Pic - Greater Jaggling Insanity Spirit
The Count of the Choir of Chaos, Subservient only to the City Father. The Granter of eternal insanity and the every changing and swirling tide of thought and movement. Pic is a fan of that which is not sane and holds its influence over any craze within a person.(Beware those with derangements.)
- Cheshire - Lesser Jaggling Murder Spirit
The Baron of the Choir of Murder, Subservient to the Choir of Chaos. He has one goal…KILL, things don’t talk to him cause they die if they do. The end result is always the same, if you see him, you’re dead.
- The DJ - Lesser Jaggling Entertainment Spirit
The Baron of the Choir of Entertainment, Subservient to the Choir of Business. Everyone needs to be having fun, and will always focus on parties and groups to influence with the fun that he has and they have. He knows a lot and sees a lot, but if it isn’t fun, he aint gonna do it.
- Dark Eyes - Lesser Jaggling Crow Spirit
The Baron of the Choir of Cunning. Subservient to the Choir of Chaos. Not many remember this spirit ever being here before, but that may just speak to how devious and cunning it really is. It deals secretly and only shows up with its whole choir in tow, why is a good question, perhaps there are answers that even the wolves do not know?
- The Busman - Lesser Jaggling Transportation Spirit
The Baron of the Choir of Transporation. Subservient to the Choir of Business. Talkative as always, he knows and yet doesn’t know, on good terms with the choir of knowledge it is because of the Busman that the roads are there at all…or maybe it’s the other way around, who knows.
- Weeds - Lesser Jaggling Drug Spirit
The Baron of the Choir of Medicine, Subservient to the Choir of Law. One would think that Weeds would be against the law, but in fact abides by the law of the spirit, and that keeps his court in the graces of Law and Justice. He deals fairly and squarely, and all get their hits, but cross him and you’ve find those blasts hittng you.
