Real Name: Brad Tyler Deed Name: Found Fury Pack: The Perfect Storm Position: Alpha Age: 21 Character Livejournal:

Backstory and Personality

The Past

A Convoluted Birth

Brad Tyler's early years were almost completely filled with the string of court battles for exactly whose child he was. A tangled mess of surrogacy, early reproductive technology, and foster care meant that at least three couples had some claim to him as a child.

The original Tylers were a rich northeastern couple, incapable of having their own children, but awash with wealth. Enough to convince at least three people - Two physically attractive genetic donors, and a surrogate mother, to help them overcome their personal deficiencies.

Brad's genetic parents - those who must have been Uratha and/or Wolf Blooded - disappeared first. Whether or not they knew about their lineage at the time, Brad can only speculate. Either way, after a sudden, initial interest in taking thew child, possibly after realizing the truth of their own blood, they could not keep up with the legal arms race between the Tylers, and Brad's gestational mother and her new husband, who had become attached to 'their' child.

Middle Years

As the court battle wore on for years, and then decades, Brad himself bounced between a fine private school in new york, and humble public schools in the midwest. As the truth of the Tyler's under the table arrangements began to earn sympathy for his foster parents, and the absent donor parents, Brad spent more and more time at the latter, more or less settling into his high school.

Brad was quiet and reserved, having difficulty forming friendships. However, he excelled as a linebacker for the school's football team. Unlike glory-seeking quarterbacks on offense, Brad stood as a leader of the team's defense, a stalwart with a knack for holding the line. He began to open up, even talk to people outside of the team... and then things began to go astray.

Change...

Confusing dreams, an unexpected temper, hallucinations and other discrepancies began to haunt the linebacker. His perfect record began to drop, aggressive streaks snuck into his game, including snapping a rival quarterback's arm in a moment he couldn't quite remember afterwords. On a lonely stretch of road behind the school, the biggest, meanest neighborhood dog he'd ever seen tried to maul him. (Incidentally, he would later learn that no Uratha in the area claimed to be responsible for the attack.)

Then came a single night, a party before a road game. By all accounts Brad oughtn't have been there. He wasn't one for parties in the past, and the entire team was supposed to be getting ready to leave on the bus that night. In the aftermath, at least one of the partygoers who had been in the poorly lit backyard where a deadly, horrific knife fight broke out swore they'd seen Brad, but there was no way he could have been there, given when the bus left that evening for an away game.

Rescue

Brad's fate might have slid from there, without intervention. A local woman that he'd crossed paths with several times in the past approached him one dreary night in a 24 hour diner, having noticed his worn, exhausted features. He mentioned only his dreams at first, hesitantly... But then more came out, about the visions, the anger, and finally, the few moments of the party he recalled with perfect clarity, ripping open his drunken peers in the dark corners of a suburban backyard. For as insane as it sounded, she offered him hope - Someone she'd known, an old friend who was in the area. A Werewolf. an Uratha. A Rahu.

Initiation

The loss of himself, the consequences of slipping control were bright and harsh to Brad, and he never allowed them to leave him. The Rahu sensed something of the Talons in Brad, introduced him to a pack. The Talon's tutelage was incredibly harsh, but the desire to not lose himself again, to maintain control of what he'd become, allowed him to carve out respect among these others. They made sure, before anything else, he could survive as a werewolf, Talon or not.

When it came time to prove himself worthy of join their ranks, the oldest among the talons sought to hunt him. The respect accorded to him became a two way street, earlier good performance making for a harsher trial. Brad almost didn't survive - Claw wounds deeper than intended nearly ended his initiation, leaving him with massive scars across his chest. Even the eldest who had fought with him seemed somewhat taken aback by the inflicted wounds.

Found Fury was given his deed name before his fate was ensured - And he would not lightly give up the chance to wear it. It took nearly two months for him to claw his way back from Death's Door, especially in the midwestern woods where the pack had taken him. even afterwords, he could not find it in himself to blame his mentor for long - understanding the necessity of placing him in such peril to prove himself.

The Present

Brad stayed and fought with the Talons who initiated him for some time before moving on. For a few years now, Brad has wandered. He feels secure in himself as a werewolf, but still very hesitant to lay down true ties. To others, he stylizes his wanderings as being in search of elusive and unique ways of fighting, and indeed, he's picked up snippets of numerous techniques that make him deadly on two legs or four. Brad delves into Gauru form so rarely that he has been asked, in the past, if something prevents him from using it.

Currently, these wanderings have finally led him somewhere where the possibility of staying exists. In the broad expanses of Southern Arizona, Brad believes that enough challenges and enough uratha exist that he can finally, in one place, continue his own advancement, improving his own abilities. Even as he works to survive from day to day, Brad's eyes are always... Always, on the future.

Recently, Brad and his pack were forcibly uprooted by the massive Pure incursion into Southern Arizona. After the death of his pack alpha, Brad has assumed that role. He is struggling to determine his Territory and integrate new members into his pack, and to forge strong ties between all of the forsaken packs in the area.

The Future

Brad faces an all but impossible challenge - he unexpectedly stands as one of the pack alphas in a state of siege. He considers himself to have a long view of creating a fortress in Southern Arizona to defend against the Pure, fortifying the position until he can take the fight back to them.

Brad has also made known publicly that he is seeking, from beyond his immediate vicinity, a tutor in the arts of armed combat. His complete reliance on fist and claw is only one portion of this - Brad believes that with the right mentor, he can hone his skills of leadership and war to a razor's edge, forging a better Uratha, Rahu, and Alpha out of himself, just as one forges a sword out of raw metal, heat, and skill.

Rumors

Pure were pursuing Brad, before a Wolf-Blooded led him to the Blood Talons

Found Fury may or may not be incapable of taking the Gauru form under certain, common conditions.

No-one so far has been able to figure out if Brad's parents were known Uratha or Wolf-Blooded. Or at least, no-one will admit to it.

Brad tends to eschew modern transportation. He's been known to run all the way from Tucson to Phoenix over a few nights.

Some say that Brad can't run across the desert without being attacked by hosts / spirits / Pure / etc.

Brad is seeking mentors to teach him the art of armed combat, tooth and claw techniques, and to develop unique pack tactics.

Brad's Spirit Brands of Glory has a Cahalith glyph interwoven in them
