Backstory and Personality

not too much is known anymore about Elias, some days he has to stop and think what his birth name was. it just isn't something he uses all that often. he was born on January 13th, 1944 in Ferrisburg, Vermont. once he finished high school, he went to Dartmouth medical school to obtain a doctorate. he was drafted for the Vietnam war during his studies and was stationed in Long Binh. he learned more there (arguably more than he probably was comfortable with) about trying to piece people back together. shortly after the first change, he tried to figure things out. he was not too fortunate and wandered for quite a while a had to figure things out on his own. at least, until he hit Europe. declared M.I.A., possibly dead or captured, he maintained a low profile for the most part. chances are, Uncle Sam wouldn't understand that having the "Uratha bomb" dropped on him was the cause for going A.W.O.L.

these days, Cherpa has simplified his life drastically. he has returned to the mountains and wanders the Appalachian Long Trail throughout the entirety of the year. it is his solace and special place. he meets up with local packs of Forsaken along the way, offering his skills in medicine to aid them and their relatives. one never knows when he might stop around an area.

Cherpa has gotten part of that slightly jaded, gruff aspect about him. he doesn't like Hippies all that much, even though he is fairly peaceful...such as it is...most of the time. he tries to maintain a sense of humor, but at times, he acts more like "House" from the TV series. when the excrement hits the ventilating device, he maintains a cool head and does what needs to be done without thought or pause.

Rumors

• several logging companies along the Long Trail have been experiencing some major set backs. the Foreman of one of the groups dropped the contract entirely when they found his wife's slippers dangling from the top of an oak tree.
• was responsible for being the "Hippie Ripper" several decades ago in Haight-Ashbury, California.

Renown

• Cunning 1: earned mainly through his silent approach of warning off loggers. between monkey wrenching and "relocating items."

• Purity 1: Tribal. assisting the "Falling Leaves" pack in wiping out a horde of Beshilu trying to defile a unclaimed loci.
• Purity 2: dragging a newly changed Rahu out of a death trap and managing to heal them, before the Anshega arrived to finish the job.
• purity 3: refusing to kill several Anshega in the heat of battle, when they intended on murdering the packs he was assisting. then saving the lives of three Urdaga during the same fight, when the battle took a very bad turn.

• Wisdom 1: Auspice. spending time learning about uratha physiology and medicinal techniques.
• Wisdom 2: finding a way to repair a Dead Zone that was starting to expand near Clarendon Gorge, without killing the wolf bloods that had accidentally created it.

• Glory 1: assisting "the Wrecking Crew" in fending off the Anshega of Middlebury and Rutland, Vermont in a massive siege.
