"It’s hard to explain what happens when you’re in that creative setting—so intense, minds merging, senses merging. If you find each other at all attractive, even in the slightest way, it’s pretty difficult not to, at some point, just let it happen. It’s almost a step in the creative process. You’re so tightly put together, exposed together because there’s a lot of trust involved."

Who Am I?

Born to Veronica and Gerald Seymour in 1955, Faye lived a childhood of privilege. Her mother was a women’s liberation activist, and her father an active but ineffective chief lobbyist. As such, the Seymour family was constantly on the Austin-American Statesman’s society page.

While Gerald was considerably drab and dull in countenance and style, Veronica was reversely edgy and quick-witted, and she always insisted on her family wearing remarkable fashions from New York City and Europe. She was known for partying late at night, though appearing the next day pristine and perfectly kempt.

Once Faye was born, Veronica and Gerald both had strong ambitions for their only daughter. Veronica initially saw her as a miniature form of herself; a beautiful, unblemished doll to dress in exquisite clothing and care for with the most elite and forward trends in childcare. While many in the slowly rousing feminist movement considered motherhood a step back in women’s lib, Veronica viewed the fruits of her procreation as an icon of empowerment. She took her daughter everywhere she went, and exposed her to rallies and public leadership at a remarkably early age. Gerald was, naturally, far more political in scope, and envisioned his daughter to be groomed amongst the likes of Jackie O. and the Kennedy’s. Dreams of Camelot and political activism were something both parents dreamt for their daughter, but Faye was focused on an entirely different aspect of their lifestyles.

Enthralled with the socialite lifestyle she was raised into, Faye’s opinion of the world was shaped through the society pages—scathing accusations of scandal, catty snitches at fashion faux paus—Faye was immensely entertained by celebrity journalism, and quickly adopted such a mindset. It got so much so that even her parents weren’t safe from her curt judgment. “You aren’t seriously considering showing up in that ridiculous get-up are you, daddy?” “Have you looked in a mirror today, mom?” One would think that such behavior would have deemed her unpopular amongst her younger peers, but Faye had a keen eye for both fashion and insecurity—and knew just the right buttons to push. As she grew through adolescence and into young adulthood, Faye circulated through an ever flowing, fluctuating clique of followers, exhibiting an almost cult-like attitude of hanging onto her every word, catching their breath to hear the next judgment to fall upon some poor hapless individual with a fashion sense that didn’t fall strictly in line with her personal idea of what was appropriate.

Faye went to university at the University of Texas in Austin, receiving a Master’s in Women’s and Gender Studies. A natural student, Faye excelled in all of her studies, and found ways to apply her insight and mould it into a unique fashion and overall wellness vision. She was enlightened by how the media industry attacked women’s inherent insecurities, and saw an exciting opportunity to gain both empowerment and influence—a desire her parents planted into her since birth.

Over the years, Faye used her now-extensive network of fashion and wellness experts along with inherited resources to develop the most exclusive, prestigious, and sought-after wellness spa facilities in Austin. étoile quickly became the favorite luxurious get-away for several local celebrities and politicians, being the retreat for any Austin A-listers in the know. It wasn’t long before étoile hosted endless series of wellness seminars and workshops, reinforcing the “need” women (and men) had to never be satisfied with their current state of self—that no matter how happy they were, they could always be happier, sexier, wealthier—whatever the insecurity, Seymour and her powerful team of perfection-gurus knew how to spot it, tap into it, and exploit it for glory, power, and wealth.

It didn’t take long—especially by Kindred standards—for étoile to develop a near cult following. This caught the attention of the beauty-obsessed Daeva clan, namely, the gluttonous Nelapsi bloodline. They saw the enormous flock of loyal followers as an ideal feeding ground, and started taking the necessary steps to subtly infiltrate the safe-haven for the glamorous. In order to secure étoile for their exclusive feeding purposes, Faye Seymour was embraced on a humid summer night in 1983. She was 28 years old.

Faye, both in life and unlife, is a dedicated student to the improvement of one’s condition. After a short period of guidance from her sire, she was drawn to the strict, intellectual ways of the Ordo Dracul. With the Nelapsi bloodline’s disadvantage, its promises and goals proved particularly appealing, and she continues to study under that covenant.

That's One Secret I'll Never Tell

  • Has been known to out-class and out-diva Anna Wintour during her time in Dallas, resulting in them being hush-hush frenemies.
  • Consequentially, Anna Wintour is rumored to visit étoile, and falls victim to several malicious pranks...
  • Faye appears to have a weakness for European men.
  • Faye has a heavy Texan accent, but has taken great pains to conceal it.
  • She actually hates her clan and takes an interest in those that are outcasts of society.
  • She has openly stated that she prefers the company of women to men...
  • Turning her back on married life in mortality, Faye wishes to find someone to share étoile and her assets with, though she would never admit it.
  • Secretly desires to know the taste of all blood; not just humans, but of all clans and their bloodlines
  • With that knowledge she believes she can transcend the vampire condition, bypassing being human but becoming a bloody goddess worthy of the crone herself.
  • Currently has a hit out on Sarah Haskins.
  • Part of a secret coterie known as the Klatch.
  • Faye seems to have a certain charm about her to get princes to sway to her better then their own harpies.
  • Faye Seymour is actually behind the Brood attacks on San Marcos, Texas, in an attempt to cleanse the city and seize its praxis for the city of Austin.
  • Secretly loves watching trashy vampire flicks.
  • Forced her sire to wait for one year before embracing her so she could be "perfectly prepared" for her embrace.
  • It is rumored that Don Carlos Juan Mendoza de la Vega spent several nights at the turn of the Millenium beside the pool at his lavish casa with one Faye Seymour reportedly "teaching her how to drink" as he says.
  • Word on the House Vitelion list is that Faye and Santos worked together to assassinate Cameron Hightower, and that she is currently in talks with House Vitelion to strengthen ties between the Invictus and The Meritocracy.
  • Faye's fixation on fashion nearly resulted in disastrous consequences during the Meritocracy's Anniversary party...when First Citizen December Carnivale approached her...just as she lifted the dress of one Chastity Carnivale, to inspect what was there-under. When asked if she'd 'found what she was looking for' by the First Citizen, Chastity cheerfully responded 'Almost!'
  • Faye's spa is so popular amongst vampires because if you know how to ask just right you can get a special Báthory-style bathing experience.
  • Margaret Ellison acts as though she and Faye are the best of friends, but it's all an act to steal her away from under Charles Beckett's nose.
  • The true founder of House Polaris, Faye used her "family" in a social experiment to study both the nature of the Vampire condition, as well as the political implications when one is presented with an entirely fabricated sense of identity. Needless to say, it was one of her most successful and expeditious experiments.
  • Faye is nicknamed "Hellcat Momma" by her childer.
  • Faye is more flamboyant than Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie combined, and proud of it.
  • Mihail Voda is not Faye's real sire, but she lets him believe what he wants for now.
  • Recently, has been seen with a new sword inside her study. Rumors on the hill say that the sword is from an Admirer from out of town.

Ordo Dracul

  • Santos, questionable mentor and advisor - there is clearly a strong bond between he and Faye, and it's somewhat unclear as to why she tolerates him so.
Faye Seymour with her mentor, Santos, in Atlanta 2009
  • Amelia Darling, City Founder, Prince Emeritus and responsible for her decision to join the Ordo Dracul.
Faye with her bodyguard, Nathanial Payne
  • Darius Calderbright, grand-childer and Dragon of Chantanooga, Tennessee. She has great, high hopes for his future...
  • Malcolm Littleton, student and information gatherer -- steadily proving himself in her city. Often seen overseeing certain goings-on at Etoile.
  • Doc Clef, longtime friend and familiar New York contact. They were seen together often in the mid-90's...he was also the first person Faye contacted at 9-11, to make sure he was still alive.
  • Connor Swartense, rumor has it he bought property near Etoile in order to always have a reason to be close to Faye...
  • Don Carlos Juan Mendoza de la Vega, a man who taught Faye more about things she never knew, and is, for that reason, in his debt...as long as his asking price isn't too high, of course. There are some things a woman has that are far too valuable to give to just any man.
  • Jacob Croft-Vanth, clever student...rumors claim he's 'hot for teacher'...?
  • Nathanial Payne, bodyguard appears to be subject (and victim) of Faye's mercy.
  • Edward Bloom who considers Faye a friend and sometimes sounding board for ideas.
  • Jason Ward, Colonel, Castellan of the Austin Academy and Master of Assassins.
  • Albert Napoleon Duvall, a pupil who seemed to be passed down to Faye by her sire

Carthian

  • Chastity Carnivale, playful friend and partner in crime
    Citizen Nathaniel Marks and Faye
  • December Carnivale, former Citizen Prince, First Citizen and most valued ally in efforts to maintain stability in the Texas region.
  • Nathaniel Marks, a patron, an investor, a lover and a fighter - who will stop at nothing to run to Faye's rescue. A lovely pair, when they aren't feuding for the upper-hand.
  • Becky Marshall, living loud playmate, and one of the few Succubi who can challenge Faye in a battle-of-seduction.
  • Mr. Harrow, somewhat creepy, but oddly enough, quite pleasant company, and rather bright.
  • Diego Guerra del Villareal was known to have made a undecent comment out of unwarranted rage and was corrected by Faye and shown how to properly apologise to those insulted.
  • Jessica Jamenson, fellow fashionita, client, patron of étoile, and personal fashion consultant
  • Lucas Kincaid, Fellow Succubus, newly-arrived link in the Austin's Movement chain.

Invictus
Charles Beckett and Faye Seymour
  • Earl Fraley, an unlikely but strong ally, in spite of her Meritocracy affiliation. Faye has a vested interest in strengthening the ties between the Invictus and her city, and considers Archon Fraley to be her most valued Invictus ally.
  • Charles Beckett, more than anyone, Faye loves to be seen on this fellow's arm. Is it simply for appearances, or is that only the tip of the iceburg with these two? Always a gentleman, except when Faye doesn't want him to be...
  • Margaret Ellison, fabulous source for juicy gossip, party invites, and other means by which Faye can misbehave. It's unclear how much they keep a secret from her liege, and how much is actually encouraged by him.
  • Harper Ali, Faye's lovely and lithe "baby girl," often doted upon and fawned over by her sire, like a pet or a doll.
  • Lord Johnny Stewart Essex - Former travel partner, who appears to have shown up in nearby Huntsville. How much have things changed since they last met..?
  • Vanessa Channing, she and Faye are like two sorority sisters at a frat party--get them together, and they bring the life to any party.

Lancea Sanctum

Circle of the Crone

Unaligned
  • Nathan Price, acquaintance who seems to visit Faye alot. They are seen together and they often chat away from the crowd.

First Citizen December Carnivale and Citizen Prince Faye Seymour

Lips Are Never Sealed

~Quotes By and About Faye~

Edward Bloom : "Is it...an inappropriate question?"
Faye "No, not at all...But perhaps an inappropriate answer." - When being asked what Faye finds relaxing.

Santos : "Of course it is, why is it everyone doubts my selection of words!"
Faye : "Perhaps they are concerned you are using Google translate? Why not show them a comparison to set their minds at ease?"
Santos : "Already, I have two very impudent female students named Anastasia Wind and Cricket. Why did I take a third? Is it the female condition that creates such impudence? I must conclude that it is so after three experiments meeting the same conclusion. Truly, I am Damned. By my own choosing, I suppose, for a Dragon must accept all they say and do. All the same..." - On the Ordo Dracul mailing list, during a discussion of students and mentors.

Bethany Anne Rose : "That Faye can throw one heck of a party!"

Faye : "You tell your childer that no ending is 'happy' if it must be sought after." - Faye to Don Carlos Juan Mendoza de la Vega when he asked her to explain what his childer meant when suggested that he should "seek out a 'happy ending'" while visiting her.

Faye : ""There are no mistakes for a Dragon. Only lessons to be learned."

Vanessa Channing : "Lady Seymour is fascinating...I am certain she is quite learned, especially in the language of Gucci and Lauren."

Connor Swartense : "Faye, just because its been 10 years since I've been here doesn't mean I havent thought about our last moments together." Faye: "And what does that have to do with the price of sex in California?!?!?!"

Enrique Rodriguez : "That bitch has got one fucked up sense of humor. When you consider my standards, that's saying alot."

Nathaniel Marks : "That...woman. Dear. God. That...woman. I'm not sure if its the Daeva in her that makes her so delightfully infuriating...or if she was just born that way."

Faye : "Mihail, don't you know me by now? Playing hard to get is my M.O.!"

Mihail Voda : "So are you going to get dressed? Or do I get to play with a doll?" Faye : "I'm getting dressed! Sheesh."

Nathaniel Marks : "It was once said to me that a number of gents consider Faye their 'woman in Texas'. I'd be overjoyed to meet them. Really. Exchange stories, savvy? Discuss old times...maybe shoot them until they stop moving. You know, nothing over the top."

Danny Thorne : "HI MOM!!!" - Every phone call home...

Diego Guerra del Villareal : "In times of panic and distress I have rarely seen Kindred handle dangerous issues such as VII and the Strix with as much grace and collective calm as I have Faye. She is an inspiration to her clan , covenant and Kindred society alike as how a true predator should behave in polite company , there is much to be learned from her"

Ville "DJ Draconic" Rehm : "Faye? What do you say about the one person that acts like the reflection and opens your eyes to who you truly are? That's she's smokin hawt, awesome, and far cooler than you can ever hope to be. Deal." Speaking to someone annoying about his sire.

Sir Charles Beckett : "My association with Prince Seymour? Why, only one who had never enjoyed such a thing would need an explanation for it. The lady is unparalleled, I assure you."

Chastity Carnivale : "Faye's fucking fantastic! I can send her the fall Prada line as a present and she appreciates it and then she can hold her own kicking someone's ass which is something I can appreciate."

Edward Bloom : "I cannot think of any reason someone would think or speak badly of Miss Seymour. She is a fine lady and I consider her a friend. Anyone who thinks badly of her is simply wrong."

Nathaniel Marks to Rebecca Finch: "What's it like, Rebecca? It's like knowing you're surrounded by the darkness...crawling around, blind, gasping for air and fighting to get free...only to find someone else with you. Moving in rhythm. Taking your hand and running towards eternity. That's what it's like."

Faye: "Please don't think of sending me chocolates on Valentine's Day. I quit throwing up food when I was 20."

Jason Ward: "I do not need luck, so long as I have Faye."

Zayne Macy: "You really don't want to cross Darius. That's Prince Faye's grandchilde." Alexander Strife: "And?" Zayne Macy: "Fine! Tie your own noose! Just leave me out of it."

Becky Marshall: "If I were the jealous type she would drive me crazy. Lucky for me I'm not...too be fair it's probably lucky for her too. Faye and I get our time together when we can and I wouldn't ask her for any more than that. 'That' would just be selfish."

Brett Thomas: "Faye...Faye are you there...? Answer me Faye! 'Dammit!' Looks like the VII got to her...dear God, make these dreams stop...or else, make my heart stop dying for her..."

Owen S: "Yeah, I'd hit that....but maybe not. What if she wears a mask like I do? In nature, bright colors are a way of saying "It will end badly for you if you eat me". HaHa! I said "Eat me"......what was I talking about?"

Faye: "Sure I'll join. As long as it's super-secret. 'Cause, y'know. I'm a Dragon, and that's how I roll." - when asked to join a coterie.

Faye: "CHRISTOPHE! For the love of all that is holy! Down! Sit!" Christophe Viridian: "To the spinning thingy!!!"

Faye: "Connor.. For the love of God, you dont have to dress up in Cashmere every time you see me."
