Core Venue Themes
The World of Darkness products are meant to be empowering, immersive toolboxes enabling the storyteller to make the respective genres into the sort of game that they want to tell and that their players want to participate in. It is the responsibility of the storyteller to be clear on which aspects, settings elements, and stories that the game they are going to tell are present, and which are not. This, in turn, allows the player the opportunity to either give feedback to the storyteller or to decide if this particular setting is one they are interested in playing.
It is a universally recognized and accepted phrase, "If you try to please everyone, you will end up pleasing no one." With this in mind, the Genre AMST's have begin crafting Genre Vision Statements that carefully define the world that their respective Venues will be. From this high-level vision, the national affiliate storytellers will further narrow the vision to incorporate those themes/setting and tailor it to their specific areas. This will be again narrows at the regional level, and then finally at the local.
This will result in a cohesive, meaningful story that represents embodies the venue vision from the local to the global storytellers. Below are the vision statements from the Genre AMSTs. Please take a moment to review them. Join me in looking forward to a truly connected and global chronicle.
