This is a valley of wind.
Always blowing, the wind is.
Some days it is barely present;
so calm you'd never notice it.
On other days it blows with the vicious force of a hurricane;
making you swear a storm was right on the wind's heels.


And sometimes it is.


Harrisburg is like the wind. Calm one minute; raging the next. The cycle flows erratically. No rhyme or reason. No pattern or prediction. Ask most people in the country what the capital of Pennsylvania is and they'll tell you Philadelphia or Pittsburgh. Few will remember Harrisburg. That is the essence of the city; when the wind is down. Since people have dwelled here, it has been a mercurial and fickle city. Perhaps that is why so few supernatural denizens remain for long. Perhaps it is the stories of dark tragedies from long ago that still echo in the night. Perhaps it is something about the way the Beast pulls at you when the wind is up. Perhaps it is simply that, with two larger cities in close proximity, Harrisburg is simply overshadowed, and not as inviting a hunting ground.
