Welcome to the Exalted Wiki, a fan maintained resource for Exalted

This is the official wiki for Exalted, a roleplaying game from White Wolf.

This website is a wiki, which means that anyone with access to an Internet-connected computer can edit, correct, or improve information throughout the website, simply by clicking the edit this page link (with a few minor exceptions, such as protected articles and the main page).

In every article, links will guide you to associated articles, often with additional information. You are welcome to add further information, cross-references, or citations, so long as you do so within the editing policies and to an appropriate standard. You do not need to fear accidentally damaging the Exalted Wiki when you add or improve information, as other Wiki Editors are always around to advise or correct obvious errors if needed, and the Wiki software, known as MediaWiki, is carefully designed to allow easy reversal of editorial mistakes.

The Wiki Mission

The Exalted Wiki aims to:

• create the most definitive, accurate, and accessible reference for everything related to Exalted without reproducing the contents of the books in any fashion which even slightly reduces the necessity of owning the books;
• create an archive where users can store their original, Exalted articles and materials; and
• provide a framework for users of the Exalted Chat to store character records and items of interest regarding their games.

Why contribute?

Some people feel uncomfortable with the concept of a wiki — it's too open, it's unreliable, and so forth. But believe it or not, this system does work — and we have 3,076 distinct articles to prove it!

In a nutshell, a wiki works because it's made as simple as possible for anyone to contribute, in a medium in which the sensible contributors outnumber and overpower the disruptive ones. Additionally, the wiki allows an easy, free exchange of information that allows false or misleading information to be quickly corrected. Rather than numerous small and limited personal databases, the Exalted Wiki has the potential to become the largest, most reliable fan database available.

How to contribute?

This wiki is an open project, free for everyone willing to contribute to. All you need to do is create an Username and Password by registering. Once you have that, all you need to do is to check out the Quick Start article, which helps you learn the wiki software and provides you with a number of important guidelines. These rules help to make sure that everything you create is nice and organized so it can easily be found by all visitors.
