Five Maidens

The Five Maidens are five deities, second in power only to the Unconquered Sun, though Luna is rightly considered an equal. Their Chosen are the Sidereal Exalted, champions and guardians of fate.
The Five Maidens in the Time of Tumult are:
- Mercury, the Maiden of Journeys
- Venus, the Maiden of Serenity
- Mars, the Maiden of Battles
- Jupiter, the Maiden of Secrets
- Saturn, the Maiden of Endings
It is rumored that each Age is ended by the death of one of the maidens, who will be replaced by a new one as required by the new Age.
One of the options for Oversight includes a Sixth Maiden, simply known as the Little Sister or Little Maiden, detailed on page 88 of The Manual of Exalted Power: Sidereals. She was created by the five maidens to take some of their work off their shoulders and is a very pitiable figure whose only emotion is fear. She lives in a doorless room underneath Yu Shan, sitting on a small chair and clutching a china doll while whispering to command the Loom of Fate.
