History
Born Mikado Htiomakamura, Miko (as his family called him) was born in a small Japanese fishing village) In 869 at age 9, Miko was sold by his father into a vamperic-geisha house. After a failed attempt, Miko was kept as a slave, cooking and cleaning and attending to the needs of the others in the house. At age fifteen, a male geisha (referred to as TAIKOMOCHI ARAI) Hitari Niato, called upon the Okea in which Miko was enslaved at and requested a chance to train him in return promising that the young apprentice would repay his debt in six months of becoming a full fledge geisha. Over hearing the conversation, Miko saw this as a chance to finally be free to do as he saw and live a life full of joy and love, little did he know that he would become something most veil in order to find that joy.
After years of training, Miko entered into the”Rebirth” ceremony and was then not only made a “full” geisha, but was embraced by Hitari, now being reborn as Masanori Niato, premier geisha and member of clan Toreador. Soon he was educated in kindred society, more so that of Camarilla society. As a navis geisha, Masanori entertained many notable kindred of the day.
All is well for Masanori until the “Great Purge”. The Great Purge was much like the Inquisition (the purge was around 1000-1015). Kindred in Japan were rounded up and tortured, experimented upon, and killed.
Masanori was to flee with some others, but was somehow left behind in the chaos. He hid in a small compartment in the Okea, waiting for his chance to leave. However, his Okea was raided with no one seeming to be inside. A solider discovered the frightened kindred, but was so struck by his beauty, he told his superiors that no one was inside, he promises Masanori of his return to aid him safely out of the country.
Soon the Toreador escapes to a small remote village where remains in relative obscurity until he was summoned by his old friend Hitari, who manage to find his way into the French and Austrian royal courts. Soon Masanori was involved with a vein but talented artist by the name of Dorian Gray.
Masanori caught the attention of Gray and the two began a passionate affair. However, Gray soon realized that he himself was getting old yet his love was not. After going to the Heritic named “Amadeus “Adam”, he soon discovered Masanori’s secret. Instead of outing his secret, Gray went to a man by the name of Lord Henry Wotton. He begs the master of manipulation to some how preserve his beauty. Wotton does this by capturing Gray’s essence into a painting that will age in place of Gray.
However, he warns of ever looking upon the painting, for it will be his end. Now and immortal, Gray and Masanori lived happy and in love. As time went on,, Gray became more monstrous and hedonistic, always warning Masanori to never enter his private gallery room.
Soon his cruelty became intolerable and Gray spurned Masanori. Hurt and angered, Masanori wished for Gray to physically feel the pain he felt inside his heart.
Birth of a Vengeance Vampire
After making this declaration of revenge, a Kindred by the name of Katimari Tzimisce , offered him a job as a vampire who was summoned to preform acts of revenge upon those who had scored them. He agrees and soon he is exacting revenge on behalf of kindred who can not do it themselves, he even is summoned by a few mortals.
He was given a necklace that would allow him to grant the wishes of those who were wronged. Although Masanori’s interpretation of the wish expressed was often rather loose and considerably more destructive than the wisher intended, bringing pain and suffering to men all over the world
In 1199, Masanori went to the Kastka valleys above the Urals to curse an unfaithful man. He witnessed a sorcerer's Ascension into vamperic form (durring the fall of Troy 1245). The death and carnage — only a few people survived — shocked even him. In 1575, Masanori met Dracula. He was in Salem, Massachusetts, during the witch trials in 1692.
He also was a lady (as he would change his appearance from time to time) in waiting and fell in love with Louis XVI. When he left him for his wife Marie Antoinette, Masanori (then known as Aphelia D’Chenel) manipulated a series of events, causing the scandal known in history as the “Affair of the Necklace” This would lead to eventually the deaths or banishments of all involved, including Antoinette.
In the 19th century, Masanori became a close friend and fierce competitor of the vengeance vampire Halfrek. They met during the Crimean War (1854-56). Masanori impressed "Hal" with a granted wish in Saint Petersburg, Russia, that sparked a revolution in 1905. In 1914, Masanori traveled to Chicago, Illinois to exact vengeance on a Stewart Burns, making him a grotesque creature and sending him to a hell dimension( actually a Tremere by the name of Thomas Hasteworth sent him to the hell dimension) to be tortured for all eternity. This came back to haunt him years later.
After running a muck in 18th century France/ and again in the late 19th century, (killing the Cszar and hiding his daughter Anastasia for no one to find, although she later turned up as his childe named Alexia Lorene) Katimari had enough and stripped Masanori of his abilities to grant wishes and teleport., leaving the kindred with some of his “Earth Majiks”.
Masanori traveled back to Japan and made his way to become the most popular geisha in all the Hanamachi. In the 30’s he and another Toreador geisha by the name of Satusmomo had a nasty feud, due to Satsu’s jealousy of the kindred. Throughout the 30’s, he made penitence for the things he had done as a vengeance vampire. He soon found love with a kindred named Alexander Giovanni. That was short lived as Giovanni asked him to marry him, but Giovanni has doubts grew, however, and it was not difficult for Stewart Burns, escaped from hell and impersonating Giovanni's future self, to persuade him to leave Masanori before they could be together.
Anger and hurt, Katimari gave Masanori his powers back .He was frustrated when he could not grant his own wishes against Alexander. Despite wreaking bloody vengeance on several men and kindred, Masanori did not enjoy his work. He spent a summer granting half-hearted wishes and gained a reputation among demons as "Soft Serve." Halfrek encouraged Masanori to a darker path, but after his gruesome attack on a group of Setitie members, he lost his taste for the gore of vengeance.
He begged Katimari to return the guys to life (by time manipulation). Katimari agreed, but at the cost of the soul of a vengeance vampire. Masanori agreed, thinking it meant his, but Katimari murdered Halfrek instead. He then curses Masanori to never be able to leave his sway unless someone is willing to die for him of their own free will. Katimari also forced Masanori into becoming an assassin sending him all over the world to do his bidding.
This went on until the mortal, James Owensby fell for the Toreador and during an attack on Masanori, gave his life up in order to save his beloved. Now that the curse was lifted, Masanori found that retained the powers he had, he soon found out that Katimari was killed by unnamed assassin for non payment of debt.
In the early 20th century, Masanori did some social manipulations but not much. He drifted about until he came across a Malkavian by the name of Adam. Adam suffered extreme visions and nightmares. Masanori cared for the kindred, not knowing he was effected by the “Week of Nightmares.”
After the even passed, Adam swore his oath of allegiance and thanks to Masanori. The two became very close best friends, traveling about as he cared for Adam as if he was his own child.
Modern Nights
Referred to by most as “Not the average Torrie,” Solitair has managed to still be a formidable opponent, physically, socially and, mentally using his style of charm, wit, sophistication and down right social manipulation.
Very few kindred know anything about the beautiful Toreador, even his best friend Adam is unclear of his past and what it entails. After living in Seattle for a number of years, Solitair was asked by a powerful Giovanni named, Tobias Anson- Giovanni to preform as his headliner in his Vegas casino the Ballagio.
Solitair excepted and remained there in the city for a number of years before asking to be allowed to resign. Tobias agreed and Solitair with Adam present moved around from city to city until he landed himself in the city of New Orleans a much contested city between the Camarilla and the Sabbat.
After staying in the city for a few weeks, he and Adam moved from their home in the French Quarter to New York city. There Solitair became a hub of information and social going-ons. After living there a few years, Solitair began to notice the signs that the a Sabbat invasion was emanate.
Solitair with Adam in tow fled to the city of Boston awaiting to see if things in NY would clear up, but after hearing news that the fall of NY to the Sabbat was near, Solitair abandoned hope of returning to New York and decided to stay in Boston.
It was 1999 and Solitair and Adam seemed content, until one day he received a letter in the mail, asking him to come to Paris to meet with the Pandora , the sitting member of the Camarilla Inner Council, herself.
Upon arriving, Solitair was informed that plans within the next few years would be implemented in the -re-establishing of a former fallen city. Pandora wished for Solitair to act as a representative of sorts on behalf of the Clan, seeing as he was excellent at using his “Charms” to acquire information others were not so willing to give.
Solitair excepted the proposition and remained in Paris establishing a career as a singer/entertainer. In 2006, Solitair was informed that he was to move to Indianapolis, IN as it was the city that would be re-established as it was regained from Sabbat forces.
Solitair moved to Indianapolis with Adam representing the Toreador voice. He was the Primogen for the clan until Adam suggested that he be made Harpy for the city.
Solitair excepted and was acting as Harpy and Primogen as he was the only Toreador in the city (besides the then acting Prince, Jean-Paolo Castillo). Soon after much debate, a new Prince was elected, Razor of Brujah, to which Solitair worked closely with. A few months into his Princedom, Razor lost the title to fellow Clanmate Michael Roberts.
V is for Vengeance
Solitair worked diligently and closely to Roberts, so much so that he eventually fell in love with Roberts. For a time it seemed that Roberts was interested (or at least indulged) in Solitair as well, however, that was not the case.
Soon Solitair was hurt by the rejection and opted to be dignified and not allow jealousy to take over his kindred emotions. However, Roberts becoming increasingly paranoid, assumed Solitair was after his crown as Prince, he had his then Senechal Vetinari to question the Harpy. After finding out that the was merly hurt by the lack of returned affection and was not looking to un-seat Roberts, Michael gave Solitair a gift of a musical lighter with a green flame.
Blasting Solitair on Elysium for what he perceived as jealousy, Solitair manipulated several key members against one another in order to remove Michael from his seat.
As fortune would have it, Roberts crossed a powerful Giovanni named Vincenzo for braking an agreement. Roberts was expelled from the city and Adam became the new prince of Indianapolis.
Soon after Solitair began to experience issues with his advanced telepathy , something which proved only to be a sign of things to come.
Career
Among being Harpy of Indianapolis and now the new Lesser Grand Harpy for the mid-west region of the Camarilla, Solitair has enjoyed a wonderful career as a singer in the pop and r&b genres.
He is currently writing for his second album, “Real Emotions.”

Solitair is often referred to as , “Not the average Toreador, something to which he very much lives up to. As he does play up to the majority of stereotypes about his clan, Solitair is far from being a superficial ditz with a credit card, for he is a very knowledgable and manipulative , physically, socially and mentally.
Through history he has changed identities and looks to fit in with the times. He is androgenous in appearance, appealing to men and women, kindred and mortal, using this to get information and favors from most whom encounter him with his beauty, raw sexuality, allure, and , unique physical prowess, Solitair has been able to out wit and stay ahead of the game most of his kindred life.

Recently Adventures
12/02/06: After narrowly escaping his house being burned down, Solitair awakes in a wearhouse with no windows. He quickly finds Prince Adam (Malkavian) and August Saint-Jean (Toreador-Keeper) on the campus of IUPUI.
The building is soon invaded by three Hunters. Solitair and a small envoy guided by August and the Gangrel Danni, make their way outside the building to an alternate exit. Solitair acommpained by his personal body guard, make their way to the near-by night club "6" and enter the VIP room unnoticed.
After his body guard (refered to as "The" Haitian) scans the private bathroom for signs of anyone hidden in the room, Solitair slips into a stall and sits down making it appear as if he is using the restroom and Astral Projects back to witness the Prince, August, Danni and several other Kindred, take down the hunters one at a time.
He astrally appears to the Prince and August (at seperate times) to see how the situation is unfolding. Upon returning to the scene he sees several police cars, and instructs his body guard to keep driving. He soon is informed via Phantom Speaker, that everyone is safe and after a altercation with some kindred and police, the salon was moved to a nearby local bar.
Solitair's power play
A Sabbat by the name of Lord Vetinari had managed to infiltrate the city of Indianapolis. After using a ploy to win over the Prince and several key members in the city including [Solitair], the Harpy and now Lesser Grand Harpy used his power of Persuasion to sway the Prince in killing Vetinari.
Persuasion
Solitair's power of persuasion (The ability to force others to obey one's spoken commands) requires speech or can be used telepathically and presumably requires the affected individual to understand the spoken commands and be able to act on them.
Solitair's suggestions do not compel instant obedience. He sometimes has to repeat commands before his victims obey (such as when he told the Prince to not worry himself with the details to take out Vetinari), and the exact wording of the command may affect its success (August appeared to resist Solitair's rather complex set of commands at first in the meeting). However, when strongly focused, the true limits of the power may extend to outright killing of the victim through pure power of persuasion.
Examples:
Solitair (in a moment of desperation)lures the Prince to kill Vetinari.
Solitair uses his power on August again to make him calm not care about the detail's of the plan to get rid of Vetinari.
Solitair dazes a Tremere by suggestiong he was tired. As he falls to the ground, he is aided by another Kindred.
At the Treaty of Thorns Solitair uses his power and almost sways the Camarilla from allowing the Tremere to join.
Justicar's Visit
On his way to the Elysium at the Indiana Repitory Theater, Solitair's car is ran off the road and then shot at by Italian goons. Solitair manages to escape using his Obfuscate. Reaching the gathering, Soltiar soon finds himself investigating Mr. Delphi a, Malkavian, who may have been in league with the Sabbat infiltrator Vetinari. Solitair along with the good Dr. Rebecca Scharf of clan Tremere, speak with Chester Copperpot. Solitair uses his ability of persuasion to convince Copperot into talking Delphi to meeting with himself, Solitair and Scharf. Before that happened, Julian Hamilton of Clan Tremere became Prince and declared Delphi bloodhunted. Soon the Justicar of clan Brujah came and spoke to the crowd...soon Adam resurfaced alive and had been posing as a Malkavian all night. Solitair was overcome with grief as his old friend tried to kill everyone in the room.
Soon he awoke to find a candle light vigil outside for him as mortals thought him gone. After sevral ideas were tossed around, Solitair had his appearance altered and left the gathering unnoticed.
