Victorian Age: Vampire

Sects and Factions
The Victorian Age was a high point in the history of the Camarilla. The Inner Council had been used to oppressing humans for hundreds of years at this point - now the humans were doing it themselves! The Camarilla wielded the bureaucracy of the Victorian Age institutions like an attack dog and retriever, using a new interest in the occult to skim off neonates from the cream of the crop. The new outburst of religious fervor could be used to destroy their enemies among the Sabbat, and the wide expansion of English territory allowed the elders to play out their machinations around the world.
The Victorian Age is likely when the Anarchs first started calling vampires (especially those aligned with the Camarilla) "capes", thanks to the sensational representation of Dracula in the book by the same name. The Anarchs kept up their devil-may-care attitude and complete lack of respect for anyone else throughout the Victorian Age.
